What is the best time to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling?
The best windows are Spring (March to May) for pleasant weather and blooming rhododendrons, and Autumn (October to mid-December) for the clearest views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. We generally advise against traveling during the heavy monsoon months (July and August) due to unpredictable roadblocks and landslides.
Do I need special permits to visit Sikkim or Bhutan, and do you arrange them?
Yes. Restricted areas in Sikkim (like Nathu La, Tsomgo Lake, and North Sikkim) require Protected Area Permits (PAP). Bhutan also requires official entry permits for Indian tourists. We handle all the paperwork and running around for you. You just need to share your valid ID proofs (Voter ID or Passport) and passport-sized photos with us before you arrive.
Are your travel packages fixed, or can we customize our itinerary?
Everything we do is fully customizable. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all travel. Whether you are looking for a relaxed family vacation, a honeymoon, or a heavy travel schedule exploring remote areas, we build the daily plan entirely around your preferences and budget.
Where do your tours start, and who picks us up?
Our standard pick-up and drop-off points are Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). One of our dedicated drivers will be waiting for you upon arrival to take you straight to Gangtok, Darjeeling, or your first destination.
What kind of vehicles do you provide for the tours?
We provide well-maintained, dedicated private vehicles like Innovas, Xylos, or Scorpios, depending on your group size. For the rougher terrain and high-altitude roads in North Sikkim, we strictly use robust SUVs that are built for the mountains.
What kind of hotels or stays can we expect?
We give you options. Depending on your budget, we can book premium hotels with clear mountain views, cozy boutique properties, or authentic local homestays where you can experience genuine Sikkimese hospitality and home-cooked food.
Can you arrange pure vegetarian or Jain meals during the trip?
Absolutely. Just let us know your dietary preferences when you confirm your booking. We personally coordinate with all the hotels and homestays on your route to ensure pure vegetarian or Jain food is prepared for you.
Will altitude sickness be an issue in the mountains?
Most of Gangtok and Darjeeling are perfectly fine, but high-altitude day trips (like Gurudongmar Lake or Nathu La) can cause mild symptoms for some. We design our itineraries to help you acclimatize gradually over a few days. We always advise guests to stay hydrated, avoid rushing, and let our drivers know immediately if they feel uneasy.
